this time i will tell you a story. story about turbo sport 401-470 collection, part about collecting the last items for it.
some time ago, i started to begin real collecting of turbo sport collection. as somebody might know, real collecting begins when you collect easy items, and start with last “few” hard ones. different turbo series have different count of “hard” items. for this particular turbo sport 401-470 collection, i could name few hard pictures.
so, from my and turbo collectors, who i know, point of view, really difficult to get are numbers 413 and 463, but my last missing were 464 with 467 (413 was last one of last 4). all but 463 in first place i got in bad shape, so they technically were in collection, but practically i needed to change them into good ones.
it is how it goes, you begin real collecting with last 5 or so missing items, and end with all items in collection completed and with good quality. of course if it’s possible. in some cases, like legendary turbo 1-50, you are lucky enough to get any item, but also in my case i was more lucky, and changed 3 items with better condition, but it’s a different story.
so, like i said, collecting ends with complete collection of good quality items. it went out, that turbo sport 467 was last item i changed condition into better one. that’s for small intro.
real collecting of turbo sport 401-470 collection started in around summer 2007. i haven’t full history of all and every item, when and where i got it. but as i see from my small statistics, in august 2007 i had 4 missing items in turbo sport collection, and in winter 2007 i started to search just two items.
in january 2008 i have found, that one guy had turbo sport 464 for exchange, but accidently i haven’t received it back then, and later on i got it from different source. then, in about April 2008 i was missing just one item.
so from back then till recent days i was completing by collection. in the meantime i received good quality 413, bad quality 467, exchanged 463 from collection for better things, received 433 in good quality, received another 463, and last but not least, got my missing good quality 467. so today my turbo sport collection could be called complete. after one year (and even more) search of 467, and finding bad quality, it was hard to think, that i can get good one.
but after long time searches, one day i found it, successfully received and put where it belongs, into my turbo collection.
